    Covalon is expanding its high-performance sales team in the Vascular Access call point.  We are currently seeking a motivated, energetic and results oriented sales professional(s) to help grow Covalon's medical device businesses in the United States.

    You will need to be confident, experienced and skilled in the art of selling.  Skilled enough to hunt for new opportunities, engage senior executives/clinicians across healthcare and supplier channels, and advocate for Covalon's products within your territory. Your knowledge of the vascular access call point is second to none as are your relationships with the appropriate healthcare professionals.

    To thrive in this role, you'll need to be performance driven, results oriented with a demonstrated ability to secure new business through strong communication and presentation skills.  You are a seasoned professional with a proven track record of identifying and generating new business opportunities and expanding current customer relationships through outside sales activities, in-servicing, prospecting, telemarketing and relationship building.  The right candidate will play an integral part in the future expansion of our business in the United States.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform prospecting and screening activities to identify qualified customers for new business development;
    • Meet quarterly revenue targets;
    • Develop and submit comprehensive proposals based on individually or team assessed needs of potential clients;
    • Maintain accurate up-to-date sales pipeline and forecasts;
    • Collaborate with appropriate internal resources to develop comprehensive sales presentation materials tailored to the customer;
    • Make formal presentations and follow-up calls to prospective new business accounts with the ability to influence and close the sales cycle;
    • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all services and products offered by Covalon and awareness of the competition, i.e. positioning, market share, pricing, etc.
    • Successfully develop business within the territory;
    • Outstanding customer service and management skills;
    • Coordinating business and product plans;
    • Demonstration of strong competencies in building professional relationships, flexibility, and a keen sense of personal motivation and drive;
    • In depth knowledge of data analysis techniques, including the ability to present complex medical data in an accessible manner;
    • Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently;

    Skills Required:

    • Experience in prospecting, qualifying, negotiating and closing healthcare provider accounts in the Vascular Access market is a must. 
    • Professional, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit;
    • Strong understanding of the sales process and methodologies;
    • Experience in the vascular access and/or surgical field;
    • Excellent financial and analytical skills with strong attention to detail;
    • Willing to travel and represent Covalon at trade shows, conferences and other networking opportunities;
    • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and team leadership skills;
    • Experience in reviewing contracts;
    • Strong sense of initiative and a self-starter;
    • Goal oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence and determination;
    • Excellent customer relationship building skills and proven ability to close business;
    • Excellent PC skills (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.);
    • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field would help;
